Additional software for your enterprise
Windows 8 Professional Edition features vary compared to the standard
version. One of the most appreciable differences is the presence of
Windows Media Center which is not in Windows 8. You can purchase it
separately with an additional package but it is not included. With this
function you can reproduce DVDs without installing third-party
utilities.
BitLocker and EFS are another functions included in the Pro version. The first one is used to encrypt your disc data or external virtual drives such as an USB; while the second one just allows you to encrypt folders or specific files. With Win8 Pro you will be free to include a different operating system and use it as it was installed on your computer hard disk thanks to its VHD (Virtual Hard Disk) support.
